Day Time Running Lights

Ok This may sound lame and sorry for posting here and not under lighting, But the day time running lights what # are they and are they same as the little blub next to it? because when i turn the headlights on another blub comes on. is it smart to change both to led (hyper white ) to match the Hid headlights or better to disconnect both? what have some of you guys done?
