Hey guys i have recently just purchased my Is 350 and i had forgotten that i didnt want them to put a front bumper on my car so they had done it and when i brought it back home i had tried taking it off and there were these 2 holes they drilled just to put a stupid front plate on and i just wanted to kno how would i fix these 2 holes if i was to try and fix it?
Yea and depending on how deep they screwed in the bracket mounting screws and how big the dimple is that protrudes out when you take the screws out bumper plugs might not even work. They didnt for me and I had to return them.
Everytime I see a post like this...It reminds me how crappy the Lexus solution is for mounting the front plate. They did a nicer job on the rear mount.. with actual threaded mounts. Why not do something similar on the front where plugs can be put in for those who don't need/want front plates...See a Honda S2000 for an example
one more question... where i live is Ma aka Boston and me and some of my friends were talking about the front plate and i was wondering if it was "illegal" to not have a front plate or something cuz my friends kept on arguing that it is

If you were issued two plates, both plates have to be on the car. Its only the older green and white plates that just has one plate.
so if i take off my front plates i would get pulled over and be given a ticket?
If you are provided two plates then, by law, you have to have both plates on the car. You may, or may not, be pulled over by Mr. Policeman. It's the chance you take for ignoring the law.
In California if you get caught with no front plate, it's a fix-it ticket and a relatively low fine - I think it's $25 or $50. However, they actually nailed my daughter who left her car in a parking lot with no front plate! That means they actually went looking for stuff, and ended up citing her parked car for this. Additionally, no plate means if you get a cop on a bad day he's going to pull you over just to nail you for that. I originally wanted no front plate, but since have decided to go with the flow and not tempt fate. Hey, I have enough problems!
