GPS messed up
So lately my gps has been acting up and it gives me wrong directions at times and sometimes it doesnt even show the road its just the circle (me) in the middle of a blank page and i when i press the map button it says im in a different city or something like that. I dont know what the problem is, because it used to work fine. I can still put a destination and it will get me there but sometimes it takes the longer way for some reason... this happen to anyone else?
Bring your car to the dealership, explain what is happening, and ask them to perform TSIB EL013-06. They will replace your map DVD with one that has updated software. Mine has been rock solid since the TSIB has been performed.
You may want to do a search and "arm" yourself with a copy of the TSIB. When I first called up my dealer, they told me that it's probably just a problem with the satellites and to give it a few days and it will probably start working again (this was after a week of it not working!!) If I didn't tell them about the TSIB, they werent' going to do anything about it. Once I mentioned it though, they changed their tune and told me to bring it in. They changed the DVD out and just like Bichon, I haven't had any issues with it since.
Yeah, same here as well. And of course, it messed up while I was driving a few states over too! But be warned, the TSB works great but unfortunatly, if you have an '06, you can't override the nav anymore by going through the volume screen.
