Default removing red out?

i put on a red out vinyl but to be honest, I am not sure if I like it.

Is it hard to remove, what is the proper way to remove it, Will it leave a residue?

Dont see how you could like the amber colored tail light better... Did you get your redout from rvinyl.com? Either way removing it should just be like taking a sticker off. Just go nice and slow and peel it off.

Yea it's from RVinyl. Color is ok.
Well I really sucked at applying things like this. so there is are a few small bumps I cannot squeeze out because it was like a curved part the squeege doesn't get it out easily, do you think it will evaporate out? I know if I try to peel it partially I think it will not stay on again very well.

And when the blinker light is on, I can see some more blemishes probably from my finger prints touching the adhesive which was kept to very minimal, but that's a minor gripe that I have.

you know those small bubbles eventually go away right. i would wait a week or two and then see how it looks.

No I didn't know.. I guess I will wait for the bubbles to evaporate first.

I thought I screwed up the installation.

And if they dont you can take a needle and poke a small hole in the center of the bubble just to let the air out and then press hard on it to stick it back down flatter.

just use a heat gun set on low and blow on the vinyl while keeping the gun about 12'' away from the vinyl.. start peeling on the corners of the vinyl and just pry slowly. Hairdryer will also work.

its kind of like window tinting, leave it out in the sun for a week or two and the bubbles should go away.

Lighter fluid helps soften the adhesive.

Just don't use it with open flames...

Why don't you just poke those bumps w/ a small needle and then squeegee the vinyl out smooth?

i did the same thing...

when you're ready to remove them, just peel them off---then remove the extra adhesive using adhesive remover (i used "Goo Gone," which is citrus-based), and you'll be as good as new...

hey i did the same thing!!

i installed the red out and did not like it plus the fact you mentioned that it was not completely smooth and i had bubbles and peeling since i run it thru the car wash 2-3 times a week.

it was hard as heck getting all that sticky glue residue off.
tried bug & tar remover and no good.

then i bought something from home depot called "goo be gone".
that is like some citrus based solvent.

worked great!!

though i still have my blue vinyl tinit over the fog lamps which looks cool.
