Yes it certainly does; that's the real kick in the nuts about the whole thing.

haha shouldnt it be "Why do i break things when i DIY"? haha, sorry im nitpicky about that stuff because i had an SAT book last year...anyways, im not DIY'er myself, (word to 40 yr old virgin). typically i find someone else to do it for me (word to 40 year old virgin) haha. my advice is get really friendly with a lexus tech. pay them under the table and they'll do anything for you really for very cheap...

I remember reading about re-circulate beofre and made sure to do this on my sisters Camry. As for breaking things, on my 1GenIS, I had the radio (headunit) replaced under warrenty and the tech scratched the hell out of the plastic on the sides. Looks like they used a screw driver rather than the plastic DIN tool. I should have taken back and complained, but I never did. It did bother me. has anyone ever had to take their car back to have something replaced due to a tech scratching, cracking etc something?

haha you are not the only one in the world! I drop tools twice in the engine room and I never find them! Once for adjusting the headlight aim, another time for changing grill. I scratch front bumper too. Even doing the room light with the LED I scratch the light cover... Anyway you will have to learn to let go and relax. Try to forget the mistake you done, look at teh result!! You will feel better ga la!

count me in in breaking that damn door too.

Without taking anything out, I can't even see where the control arm would be. Does everything need to be taken out to try the DIY repair? -- so that I can break something else

thanks for any help.

It works like a champ.

I'll bet you were prying the door open and it was almost there, then you heard a click like it released and you opened it up like nothing, eh?

If you were anywhere near me I'd say bring it by and we'll share a cold beverage while we fix your issue and commiserate on how we could be so ignorant and ignore the owner's manual for something so simple. If it has been anything complicated I would have consulted the FSM...
You wouldn't happen to have a DIY way of getting the blower assembly out to repair this ourselves, would you?
