Default Remove front plate

I just wanted to share my experience with removing the front plate. Like many of you, by the time I got my hands on the car the dealership had already slapped a plate on the front, ruining the graceful v-line of the front of the car.

I took the plate off a while ago just to see how damaged the bumper was, and sure enough, there two large crude holes which were even slightly outdented.

Seperately, my front bumper has been absolutely thrashed over the past year due to countless tiny rock chips. I got the 'factory' clear bra, but that doesn't cover the bumper.

I went to my body shop and got a quote on touching up and re-clearcoating the entire bumper, as well as removing the front plate. It came out to only $250. I just got it back and it looks absolutely incredible! You can't even tell that there was ever a plate. I'm taking my car in this week to get the entire bumper clear-bra'd.

If any of you have been considering removing the front plate, it's absolutely worth it. Just make sure you go to a good shop.

It's called Auto Body Technology in Milwaukie. I've used them with all of my cars for the past five years.
