Default HID Question

First off, I wanted to state that I received an HID kit as a gift, and it does not appear to have a name brand or anything like that. That being said, I have a question regarding the Auto Feature, that is generally not recommended for HIDs anyways.

The problem I have is that the Auto Feature does not work at all. The HIDs turn on, and work fine, but when I switch the headlights to the auto feature, it just turns them off.

I am pretty sure it has something to do with my connections, or something that I will probably not be able to fix, but I wanted to see if anyone had a clue to what could be the problem. It's just one of those things that I will probably not use, but it bothers me that I am not able to use that feature.

Perhaps the AUTO headlight sensitivity is set wrong on your car... There is a way to adjust it...

What's wrong with using the auto feature? I have had my aftermarket HIDs for 4 months now. No problem what so ever.. The auto features works perfect... What's the down side with having it on?

In a previous thread, we all came to a consensus to not use auto due to the start-up flicker.

actually it was because the AUTO needlessly turns on the HID's for 5 seconds...like when pulling into the garage at home or driving thru an underpass. Not good for the ballast or bulbs.
