I think it made sense for Lexus to make the 250 and 350 because there are different buyers and different wants and needs out there. But the thing that somewhat bothers me is, why did they have to make them look so dman similar? I kind of feel like, if I spent the extra dough on a 350, I want a little more exclusivity and not look like all the 250s out there. They could have different trim levels with different grilles or more black plastic on the 250s etc. Well at least sitting at a stop light or parking lot they may look the same, but when I step on the gas pedal I definitely feel like I'm getting my money's worth.

WTF are you smoking? That is one of the most ridiculous comments I've read on CL.

Why is the 250 created solely for women? In case you haven't noticed, not every man in the world has the same taste as yours. To me, the IS350 has too harsh of a ride that I don't even care how much power it has. In addition, the availability of AWD or manual gearbox targets an entire different demographic crowd. By your logic, automatic transmissions are created for women as well, so why are you driving one? Why don't you get a manual transmission since "real men drive manuals"?

lol yeah that "real men drive manuals" comment allways cracks me up. Drive my daily commute with a manual and get back to me.

So now I guess the question is...

Which one's more "manly":
IS350 with automatic

or

IS250 with manual

So funny how the 2fast2stupid generation thinks that a manual is best in a dragrace, for twistys/autocross/pissed off at your gf/wife manual is funner, but a dragrace??? AUTO RULZ!!! Even pro D1 *drift* cars and F1 cars use sequential automatics. Yea im almost 40 but you young'ns need to get with the times.

sequential gearboxes are automated manuals with a clutch. automatic transmissions have a torque converter, not a clutch.

True, but still from brackets all the way to top fuel, you'll want an automatic.

O yeah I'm not arguing with that. Consistency is always good, just wanted to clarify between an automated manual gearbox and an automatic transmission that's all.
