Default Help! Spacers or Grinding Caliper?

Well I read alot of the wheel threads and figured my old Advan Model 5's 19x8 .45 offset would fit off my old IS300 guess I was WRONG. I had them test fitted today and there is a slight rub when i say slight I mean almost 1mm perhaps 2mm on the Front Calipers. I have a couple option either go with some 5mm spacers or grind the caliper down. What are people's thoughts?? DO the 5mm spacers require new studs?? I have not found anything on grinding the caliper to get the wheel to fit etc.

Thanks

-joseph

5mm spacer should be fine without studs.

Spacers...I have had no problems with mine and would be skeptic of grinding the brakes.

Get the smallest spacers possible, or it may start rubbing on the wheel well.

Go with spacers... don't go grinding the caliper away.

I believe you can go with +35MM on the OEM 18" w/ OEM tire specs.

You should really just sell the wheels. Spacers would be fine, but the wheels aren't even the right size for an IS350. The OEM wheels are 8" front and 8.5" rear. Why downgrade?
