Default stock stereo

Hey everyone,

I've had my IS for about 3 weeks now. I got the navigation package but no ML. I've noticed that the radio and stereo sound... "staticky" and i'm not sure if its the speaker or the reception (or lack of reception from the antenna). Anyone else experience this?

Thanks

It happens with the cd player sometimes as well. but its kinda of consistent... ie it happens at the same point in the song. the station doesnt matter really as ive experienced it with different stations.

thanks,

perhaps a loose cable in the back? If you've tried multiple CDs and radio stations in different locations.. and still have the issue.. bring it in to get checked.

I used to get static in my old civic too but realized that it was a loose RCA cable that was the culprit.

Check your audio port cables.... You'll find one or more loose...

Same here, no static at all. Unless its in an area were there is bad FM radio reception.

Have the dealer check your speaker cables/wires. If static present only on radio then it's just bad reception. But if your playing your cds and still having static then it's your wiring. Maybe just loose. U can do it yourself but you have to know which speaker has loose connections. Or it could be just from your stereo to speaker harness. I believe we have 13 speakers. That's 13 speakers to check. Take it to the dealer. It's under warranty..
