Hey Guys,

I'm looking to replace the Auburn bird's-eye interior trim in my '07 IS with metallic trim. I've had my IS for less than one month, and the wood trim is literally in showroom condition. Would anyone with metallic trim be willing to swap with me? I'll provide as many pictures as necessary upon request. If not, does anyone know where I can obtain metallic trim? I've searched around with no luck as of yet.

I think you will have a very difficult time finding someone who will swap with you. First, the metallic trim is not very common. I haven't seen it on any cars on the lot for over a year.

 

Just do the carbon fiber trim like Evitzee .

yeah, that's the metallic finish. What's that silver stripe on the driver's seat? Can't tell what it is and what it is for.

 

Metallic Trim comes standard in every base model IS. Talked to CL members from Puerto Rico (PR). Lexus of San Juan, PR, sells about 10 base models each month.

I believe the sports package and the X-Package are metallic trim as well.

 

i think the silver stripes are just some sort of glare from the camera.

Here in Oregon, they had metallic and wood trim in base model as well.

 

You don't get the wood trim without ordering the Premium Package or Luxury Package.

 

I think you are right. Must be the reflection of the silver door handle from the flash.

I say you give the wood trim more than a month before you decide you don't want it. I think it looks really nice now and that the metallic interior is too cold and monochrome... just my opinion.

 

Here in the Middle East you can only get the Metallic Gun finish... no choices... surprise surprise

 

Spiff it up with the CF kit ......
