Background in the picture also an essential element. Proper object + background will complement each other (no matter if it's a stock IS or not).

Haha...funny thread...I looked up past threads for "iSuxeL" and he/she has never really shown a "trollish" attitude until this thread, so in his/her defense, I am willing to pardon this one episode of "When Good Posters Go Bad" 
You have to remember that just because you've seen something thousands of times, there are always new people who just got their car who have NEVER been on here.
If I was flamed for posting a stock pic when I first joined, I probably would have never come back...in fact, I was super happy when I got complements back for posting my stock car for everyone to see.
I like seeing the IS stock, modded (bad or not), crashed, plastic model cars, and even the "I just waxed my car" pics!
Oh, and of course, I have to pile on:

isuxel, I went through the gallery and deleted all the duplicate pictures for you, if you'd like to peruse them, now. (j/k, there were no duplicates!) If everyone on this group photographed MY car, there would be no two alike, because of lighting and background!

Guess they were pretty bad, or something. But, just so you have to look at one of them, here it is again...

That's like somone insulting you for showing them pics of your kids, because they might look like normal average kids. God forbid you show off your teenage daughter before she gets plastic surgery, fake breasts etc.

SEXY! and i do agree these stock pictures get very boring to look at.. lol everytime i park and look back.. sure its sexy but i wish it wasnt stock.. its a bore to see em all over the place.. soo plain! kinda glad though i havent seen any IS modded at all around my area.. i like my shaved emblems it stands out around here haha i need money for some modssss
