I saw a car earlier today and its emblem were all tinted or smoked. I know some members here on the board simply painted their emblems, but I was wondering does lexus sell tinted emblems or any other vendors. The color looked more like a dark titanium look to them. Thanks!

Yeah those are definetly the one I saw yesterday. So would I be able to pick up a complete set from my dealer? $200 for all f&r?

 

i got mine thru the groupbuy sewell had during the summer. it came out to around 150 (give or take 10 bucks) after you give em back your chrome emblems. it's all the chrome elbems.. the 2 L's, the lexus word and the ISx50.

 

i am having mine black Zinc Plated at a plating shop as i write this. The black chrome plating is really tough to do apparently, and black zinc can come out with the same result... you just have to clearcoat it once you get it plated. its going to cost me about $100, but will be well worth it.

 

Black paint is cheaper and more fun to do. hehehehe

 

What does Sewell do with the ones you return? Wouldn't think there would be much of a market for them, unless they use them for collision repair, in which case they aren't using NEW parts for the repair.

 

i'm sure sewell turns them around and resells them after one of their shop guys paints them black pearl.

 

yeah i think they send the ones u return to get black pearled and then sell those.
