Wow, that's insane!!! How can you not push your car just a little?

If that's your driving style, you'll warm up the car fine just getting in and go... but it is hard to believe you could possibly be always under 2000RPM. How about when you get on the highway? Surely to get up to speed you need to punch it a bit...

IS250 AWD is not powerful or light enough to be driven under 2000RPM consistently...

So THAT is how people get 20+ mpg... I easily get to 3.5k before I shift.

When my engine is warmed up, I usually rev up to 2700-3000 RPMs. I seriously can't see myself shifting every gear at 2K or less. It's just way too slow for traffic. When I warm up in the morning, I get all sorts of tailgaters, just because I'm revving the engine slowly.

So if you "never" reach 3K in gears 1-5, then you very conservative. How do you get on the freeway? Do you just keep a steady pace as you merge on?
