yes I am sure I am looking at it correctly, I just tap my gas padel and yes I do get to 1.5rpm and stuff but I don't up to 3k RPM between gears 1-5.
When I first start my car RPM stays at 1500 and then a couple sec later it drops to 1200-1300.
If that's your driving style, you'll warm up the car fine just getting in and go... but it is hard to believe you could possibly be always under 2000RPM. How about when you get on the highway? Surely to get up to speed you need to punch it a bit...
IS250 AWD is not powerful or light enough to be driven under 2000RPM consistently...
When my engine is warmed up, I usually rev up to 2700-3000 RPMs. I seriously can't see myself shifting every gear at 2K or less. It's just way too slow for traffic. When I warm up in the morning, I get all sorts of tailgaters, just because I'm revving the engine slowly.
So if you "never" reach 3K in gears 1-5, then you very conservative. How do you get on the freeway? Do you just keep a steady pace as you merge on?
I don't know, I never got to 2k RPM from any gears beside 6, and you are saying that 80mph in 6th gear is fine for a cold engine? that's insane :P
if u can get to 6th gear ur engine is not going to be cold...it doesnt pass 5th till the engine has warmed up...(not exatcly sure...but its a lil over a quater on the temp guage).....but i dont know if u have the 250 stick....(add to ur sig)
