Rear wheel Camber ???

Default Rear wheel Camber ???

Hey crew,

I had Eibach Pro installed today and a bit of concern when I got to looking at the wheels. I noticed that the rear wheels had some negative camber and I am not sure if they had that much or any before the install. I hold a 2' level up to the tires and I measure a little over an inch out of level (negative camber) on the rears and about half an inch in the front.

Can anyone with the Eibach Pro kit elaborate or shed some light on this ?

So the Camber will have no affect on tire wear ?

camber will wear the edges of your tires faster. it's not even out.

Yes, I had already planned the alignment but should I not wait a week or 2 to let the car settle ?

Also I am aware that the toe can be tuned in the rear but what about the camber ?

You can't do anything about the camber. It's not adjustable. Get the toe fixed after about 300 miles of driving and call it a day. That's all you can do anyway.

It's possible to adjust the camber on any vehicle... but you have to basically oblong the bolt holes on your struts. it is a shoddy method, and i never have or never will do it, but it works.

i know jeep people did it with Cherokee's, and then reinforced it with a bracket system on the outside to make another set of perfectly round holes outside of the factory (now oval) holes.

of course all of this will void wheel/axle/frame warranties, but i believe altering the height of the vehicle voids the warranty regardless.

We don't have struts on the car. That method won't work. You'd have to elongate the holes in the subframe for the lower control arm. If you honestly believe your settings will hold after doing this, please come to my neighborhood and bring your stash with you. The crack we have here is not nearly as good as you have in your neighborhood.

It might be possible to retrofit a cam-type adjuster to the subframe, but I doubt it would be easy or simple.

No camber adjustment on the rear...I have the same issue, had the toe adjusted a little bit today.
