The dealer tells me its my Intake.
I took my car into the dealership for the second time today because my check engine light is on, it says check vsc, and it turned off my traction control. The first time i took it in they said my intake is causing red lights in the computer, so they reset it. right when i left it turned on again. they told me they couldn't fix it because of my intake. and they say that the intake is causing the prob. are they lieing to me? Has anyone else had this prob.
They also told me that i am loosing hp because of my intake. Its a fujita intake.

i have an intake on now for about 1000 miles... no light issues except for normal scheduled maintenace warnings. i would talk to a manager and tell them you have a bunch of memebrs here that arent getting the light and they have the same intake

Hey guys! Just wanted to chime in since yesterday i noticed the Check VSC Message turned on in my car as well as the engine and traction control lights. My car is stock just to let you know. I almost got into an accident since the lights turned on while I was making a sharp turn and my tail slipped into the next lane in front of another car. I'm bringing my IS to the dealership tomorrow morning and I'll let you know about the results.

We see this problem all the time on various vehicles that have aftermarket intakes with mass airflow sensors. Usually what happens is that the filter is overoiled and it will collect on the wire, or film, of the mass airflow sensor and actually insulate it from the airflow coming into the engine. This is usually accompanied with either p0171 & p0174(bank 1 & 2 lean) or p0172 & p0175 (bank 1 & 2 rich). Check and makes sure that the wiring is securely attached to the mass airflow sensor and that there is no place for air to enter the intake between the air flow sensor and the engine. If all looks good you may want to remove the airflow sensor and spray off the sensing wire/film with some electrical contact cleaner, clear the codes and see what happens.

make sure that the small rubber hose from the side of the intake to the engine is on tight..i forgot that and my lights came on also, and after i connected it, it took 1/2 a day for the lights to go away
