Question Need HID Headlight Help for IS 350 2006. Please help!

I bought a brand new black IS 350 2006 in August which came with the premium package (i think) .. the one with the wood finish / heated; a/c seats, but no memory seats or HID lights (i believe so), and now i'm in search for some xenon lights. I know many people have posted various threads in order to upgrade their IS to HID headlights, but i have no idea where to start and its very confusing.

I want my headlights to have that xenon look (whitish / blueish), and right now i currently have the regular headlights which most cars have .. the yellow-looking headlight? I'm not much of a car expert but i could really use some help.

Please tell me what I have to do to get my car upgraded to xenon headlights. Also which ones look the best? Its a Black IS 350 so keep that in mind. I've looked enough to find that promo which gave great prices, but i want to know which type i should buy.. H11's? but which #K? (Thanks XD!).

Thank you very much, any help is appreciated.

(Oh and also, I wanted to get my windows tinted.. its a black IS so whats the best looking window tint for this colored car? I live in Houston, Texas - anyone know the legal amount here for front / back windows. and also please post if you know any great window-tinter-people in houston, texas. Thank you very much).

yep most of the info is in the thread he linked you to....

4300K yields the very most light...and is more of a pure white with just a hint of blue.
6000K is a lot more blue but yields less significantly less light.

...Xenon Depot (Steve) is supposed to be the best kit.

there's also a couple of self-install HID threads.

does anyone know if the OEM factory HID's flash when the Panic Alarm is activated like the Halogen's flash??? Wouldnt that ruin the bulbs???

I have the Xenondeopt kit and I never want to use the Panic alarm now because it might ruin the bulbs or ballasts...

good luck having someone install them in Houston -- there's a few shops that'll do it -- very few -- just call around, be aware they'll charge big bucks --- and they'll want to use their own kit (might not be a bad thing) - just make sure they use nothing more the 6000K and has a decent warranty.

I think Progressive Motorsports on FM1960/Stuebner is one place.

bagwell,
i called up progressive autosports, and they do not install HIDs bought outside from their store. I asked how much theirs cost and it was 695$ (This is with the installation cost).. and they are 6300K i believe.. Do you know any other places which will install HID lights if i buy the 4300K H11 package off XD? Please post if you know any shops in Houston which will install them for me.
Thanks
