Default Rear View Mirrors?

personally, i think the 2IS rear view mirrors are waaay too big for the car, and they make the car look bad, so i was wondering if anybody knows if there are aftermarket mirrors out yet ?

Thanks for your help..

Remove them, problem solved.

Who needs rear view mirrors?

FYI, there is nothing on the market right now.

You can probably wait for the IS-F, as I recall, the mirrors are actually slightly smaller.

Drive around long enough and they're bound to be knocked off sooner or later, so just wait for that.

Actually, I'm glad they are that big. The rear visibility out of the car leaves much to be desired.

i agree...i like the size of the side view mirrors...on my GS they were small as hell and u would have to turn all the way around to see the blind spot....with the IS its just a quick glance over your shoulder....

If you are talking about the rear view mirror (on the windsheild), then there are tons of aftermarket options. However, it sounds like you are talking about the side view mirrors, and I really doubt there are any aftermarket replacements for those yet.

Something to think about is that aftermarket mirrors would probably not be electronically adjustable. On top of that, they tend to be on the opposite end of the scale in size (too small IMO).

My G35 had small mirror. That made me feel like the IS mirrors came off a Ford F350 Turbo Diesel with extended arms when towing.

Now I'm getting use to them and when I drive other cars it feels like their mirrors aren't big enough.

Agreed.

As to your question about aftermarket, survey says: I doubt it. Since they're actually fender mounted (a great throwback design feature, to an extent), they'll be tough to make new ones for that don't look all funky, and no one will want to do it because they can't be easily adapted to other models.
