stock sub
Paper, believe it or not, is one of the best materials for reproducing sound. Of course, the modern improvements reinforce it with fibers of sort to stiffen it. The stiffer the material, the more neutral sound it will reproduce.
yeah i was gonna say if you wanted you can take out the stock sub and cut metal and build a box underneath it (roof of the trunk) and put a little 8 in there to get the sound that you want....but even that is a pain in the *** and you wont get the output that you want.So just get a stand alone sub and enclosure and make it simple.less time, less work, nice output.
has anyone ever tried this Pioneer 8" shallow mount sub? mounting depth is about 2.5"
