yeah... rvinyl matches better. but i got the roll and cut it myself. i can make like 5 sets from the roll.
I agree. I bought a small roll of red film from rvinyl and cut it myself. As long as you don't mess it up and have to re-cut, you should have more than enough to do you IS. It's relatively inexpensive too. I believe it was $7.00 for a little roll.
Oh it will be enough for sure, but I still haven't done it because I don't have any extra in case I mess up so I'm trying to be sure of the technique b4 I do it.. So I just put more than enough to cover the amber and then trim it along the lines of the light? Or do I but barely enough to cover the amber and then trim? How do you keep the lines straight when cutting? Is it that noticable if they aren't straight?
Believe me you won't mess this up. It's so easy. You can barely tell where the lines are at where you cut. I know i'm not a perfect cutter and i didn't have my coffee before i did it and it's still good. I'll post close up pictures of mine later on today.
I have read the previous thread about red-outs and it said to used some soap while applying? I figure I can get the pre-cut ones from rvinyl.com and then just paste it on, is that how it's done?
