I once had the red outs from Aerotect and I don't recommend them. They are a bit tricky to put on and once on, they don't stay put for very long. Mine fell off during a carwash. I now have the red vinyls and they're great! Plus, they match better than the Aerotect ones.

it can be done either way and both ways work

the good thing about dipping it in soap water is that when ur applying it on the tailight.. you can move it around for perfect placement.
