Default It's a done deal!!

Guys, I have finally closed the deal on my 07 IS350. Basically if you have read any of the Lease vs. Buy threads you will see I have been going back and forth about buying used, buying new, leasing new. I have finally come to an agreement with my saleswomen. Here's the details:

2007 Lexus IS350, Smokey Granite Mica/ Cashmere Tan interior
-Luxury Package with 18-in wheels
-Lexus voice-activated DVD Navigation System
- Intuitive Parking Assist
- Mark Levinson Audio
-Preferred Accessory package
MSRP $44,802
Negotiated price: $39,999
I did a 36 month lease with $2000 down to help lubricate the deal. 12K miles
$546 per month before taxes.
I have had a real hard time finding the color combo and options I wanted and thought I was gonna have to settle for either Black exterior or Black interior. She e-mail me yesterday and said that she just found out she has one on the boat coming over from Japan and will be here next week. What do you guys think of the deal!!

Wow, I guess I just assumed so. I figured NAV + ML was pretty much all there was to it. I figured it was because the MSRP is $44,802 which is $100 less than Technique's and I don't think mine has the headlamp washers. So there is a difference between NAV, ML, Nav with ML and NAV with ML-DVD? Assuming it is not the latter will I be able to watch DVD's while I drive?

i've read in the forums for the 06 ISx50 that if you get the nav and ML separately then you cant watch dvds...you had to get the 'VN' package which is the NAV+ML-DVD(can watch dvds)...

i've been lookin at the options for the 07' and the wording seem different about the packages...but i'm only assuming cuz that was the case with 06'

it makes sense though...why would you have navi and ML as 2 separate packages and offer the 'VN' which includes both. ::

maybe someone who knoes can chime in and clarify..

2 comments here:

1) Rollinboy: You have both luxury package and sport package listed... You can't have both... I assume you have sport package since your price is $100 less than my original price?

2) VN = Nav+ML <-- This is the only way to get DVD. It's a $3,990 option.

1: Technique, I was just getting on to correct that. Basically I e-mailed her at told what I wanted. We came to an agreement and then she said "Just to be clear you have the Luxury Package not Sport Package"

2: I haven't seen the actual sticker but I know I have the NAV option with ML but I don't know specifically if it the VN option. So you are saying there is a difference between NAV, ML, Nav with ML and the VN option?

I don't think you can really order Nav and ML without the VN option. At least, I've never heard of anyone who has a navigation system and the ML system and cannot play DVDs. Theoretically, this COULD happen, but I think Lexus will always give you the VN option, which is the NAV/ML Combo option...

If you have the Nav with ML option, then you are good for DVDs...

Did you want sport or luxury package?

The big difference between the two is the interior trim and the suspension:

Sport Package has - "metallic" color plastic trim with sport suspension
Luxury Package has - Birds-eye maple wood trim with normal suspension

(There are a few other small differences, like rear-sunshade, sport pedals, scuff plates, but the big differences are the ones I listed above)

honestly I think i like the Luxury package better. But we'll see. It should be here next week. I will post pics as soon as my wife pics it up. Can't believe it has to sit at the house for a month and half before I get home to drive it. This will be the longest 45 days in history.

Do you guys think I got a good deal?
