Default Nitrous

I wanted to make my car faster, it's way too slow and please dont ask my why i didn't by the 350. I know an intake and exhaust won't make much of a difference so i wanted to add a 50-75 shot of nitrous. Don't know if it has been done before on this car or not. Any opinions? Suggestions? Thanks

Well seems like i'm going to be the first one to try it. I've had decently fast cars before and well now i decided to settle down with the whole building engines thing but man i need a little something extra because i'm afraid my grandma's corolla may burn me. I'll keep posted

i was thinking since it's 6 cyl the engine could maybe take it. You really think it's that risky and this engine can't hold anything? damn i may be stuck with this after all. Thanks for the reply

it's pretty risky right now. people are being very skeptical and cautious about turbos/sc's and nitrous is just asking for trouble...

better to wait for an s/c imo...

The compression on the motors in both cars is a bit high for a NOS system. If it works ok let us know...if it blows your motor maybe you could take donations. I will tip my hat for a fiver right now

I don't know but 1.34 horsepower per cubic inch without a turbo isn't to tacky in my world.....

Maybe Lexus was looking to make an engine that's incredibly smooth and reliable that people like me can drive for 150,000 miles without a worry.

In Europe the IS250 is considered the big motor.

They make a 300+ horsepower motor; did you miss that part in their
brochure?

i dont know about europe but here 204 for a 2.5 even worse a 6 cyl is pathetic. Specially with that type of compression, even honda's with a 2.0 or even lower 1.8 liter engines make close to 200 hp, the 2.0 s2000 makes around 240. Anyways i'm not criticicing, i love my car i just wanted a bit more power. When i bought it i knew what i was getting into so i can't complain. thanks for your help and by no means i want to make this a flame thread. Thanks for all opinions and replies.

I'm speaking to this company dynotune which seem to be knowledgeable about nitrous systems and well i'll see what the pro's a con's are. Maybe star out with a 50 shot. I have to do some research first i don't wanna blow the motor then have lexus give me a hard time.

id suggest starting small with like a 40 shot. maybe you can also try running a colder spark plug also. i suggest who ever sets it up keeps an eye on your A/F ratios..
