You really should not mess with that unless you have an alingment machine. What is the reason for doing it?

Default Headlight Adjust

I'd like to know more about the headlight adjustment too. In the manual it's shown as part of the DIY section. Our 250 has the lights set so low, that on low beam you're overdriving them at anything past 20 MPH. Would love to raise them enough that we can get some decent visibility without blinding oncoming drivers. EU IS’s actually have a headlight adjustment control that's on the dash.

On our RX 330, we had to take it to the dealership to have the headlights adjusted (AFS system there too) – made a heck of a difference.

it would be great if someone here who has factory HIDs could measure the distance from their garage door and measure how high off the ground their headlight is and then measure how high the cutoff of light is on the garage door.

i recently impacted the right side of my car so that after that happened, the right beam is visually much lower than the left. i also compared the beam levels (left vs right) on an ES330 and there is definitely misalignment on my right beam. plus if the instructions are in the DIY section, why cant i do it myself?

Hey Nathan - check your PM's. I hope you didn't mess up your car too bad!

You should take your car to the dealer/bodyshop and have them adjust the beam.

The height of an ES350 is different than the IS. You should not eye ball the beam height. Use the alignment tool that attach to the headlight assembly.
