Default V1 radar mount

Just installed my new V1 radar mount. Great for hard wired apps. All metal and fit is clean. I am sure you have seen this one before, but I'll show you any way.

Thanks for sharing the pics - I definitely want to do add a V1 to my car soon. Does that mount come with the kit or is that something you purchased separately?

i hardwired mine and put it on the driver's side. bottom left corner of the windshield. its perfect for me, still gets signals, and easy to take off when i'm parked at school or something. easy to get to the buttons, passenger won't mess with it, and it's as 'stealthy' looking as i could get it.

No, it is from a small company that makes them for a specific make of cars.

that looks really nice, much better than the ugly suction cups that Im using.

One question though, does it make it easier to see, (in line of sight) so that when your radar detector goes off, you can see it blinking. My music is usually on and I can't always hear it. Would much rather like having a light go off in my line of sight.

What size did you get? Sorry, Im too lazy to run out and measure.

This is not a stealth setup, so it is easy to see in and out of the car. Mainly it is used to keep the V1 in line with front/rear dtection and easy access.

Sits right under the rearview mirror in full view. I ordered the 3/4 inch plain.

Cool

Thanks so much for the info on where to order this! Mine is hardwired but I still have it suctioned to the window which makes it a pain for putting the sunshield in the window or putting down the sun visor. This holder right under the rearview mirror should eliminate that problem. Also, the radar detector cannot be seen from the outside when you are parked and using a sunshield unless someone is peering in the windows from the side.

Anyway, even though we have had posts ad nauseum about mounting the radar detectors, you have provided us with something new.
