I have this mount also for my 8500 x50. You screw the original mount into this one. Mount works good but i still had to put double sided tape at the bottom of my rearview between it and the radar to prevent bouncing. I think the x50 mount is a tad flimsy so this countryjoy mount can't hold it firm. It still works good though.
