Default DRL's

Are Lexus dealership still willing to turn off DRL's or what? I went to Longo and talked to 2 people and they said they can't turn it off. I can't stand the stupid looking DRLs anymore, the car looks prettier with it off.
Is there a way to turn it off yourself?

On my RX300, there was a resistor underneath the upper left portion of my battery plate that I pulled off, a male/female connection, and that was the end of the DRLs (brights and everything else work normally). Not sure if Lexus got smart and reconfigured it.

I hate DRLs.

Mod, I would stop this thread before it turns into WWlll again. The last one on the subject of DRL's got pretty ugly.

To answer your question, no you can not DIY. You will need to find a lexus dealership that will do it for you.

You prob have to know someone (guys that take your keys and move your car) at longo, in order for them to do this. I got to know a guy at longo El monte and asked if he could turn them of. He did it for me, no questions asked.

It doesn't matter what type of bulb you put in there, the DRL will always look yellow because the bulb is operating at 25% of the high beam power. Every single one of these questions has been covered ad nauseum and can easily be found by doing a search.

Just another case of someone being lazy and not willing to search the threads. As mentioned this has been covered already to the max.

Many opinions on both sides. Me? I prefer them on and think they look just fine. Why would anyone think blue is cooler than yellow? And No, I don't think yellow is cool either. In fact I don't care period.

Lets move on.......pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese?

Yep, that's one of the ways to get them to turn the DRL's off. Feed them by mouth or feed their wallet. It almost always works.
