its too late for me....... my wife left a package of gummy bears in the center cup holder, well they melted and left this nasty residue in there. Im so irritated that i could not remove the fabric compartment to replace it.

It's a car, you can clean it, ya know.
I agree, to an extent. But accidents happen, and I shouldn't have to clean up after others on my weekends. Not wanting to trash a new car doesn't make it your life. On the contrary, if you're more than willing to allow the interior of a new car to become dirty, then you probably didn't work for it to begin with. Draw your own conclusions on that one.

WOW!! I thought I was ****. I keep my cars clean and enjoy doing so, but I certainly don't treat them like a museum. I think some of you must keep plastic on your furniture at home.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not setting up buffet lines in the backseat, but if I get thirsty or want to toss a burger down then I do so. So far I have been able to eat simple foods without managing to get mustard on the headliner or slipping my burger into the DVD player by mistake. After all, it is just a car

A wife and two kids (2 and 4), tried to implement a no food and drink rule but that lasted about a week. There's something about a car that makes kids thirsty and hungry, so a week of "Dad I want a snack, Dad I want a snack, Dad I want a snack." I gave up I just try and limit it to things that don't stain and I can vacuum up.

No food in the car because if we did it and my kids found out they would have a total fit about it because I do not allow them to eat or drink in the car at all. My wife and I do drink in the car from time to time. She only drinks water but I have to have a coffee once in a while in the mornings. To combat thisissue we got the appearance package on our car so that if we do hav an accident Lexus will take care of it for us. I hate food in the car because cleaning the perf seats is a pain in da butt.
