So after being pissed off with that guy that attended me when I brought my car in for service(ahole) I finally went to pick up my car after six days that it just sat at the dealer. Went to the receptionist to drop off the loaner and I was telling her how dissapointed I was that they would'nt fix my car for a TSB that was out for my car and to my luck she was very nice and said that is unacceptable and she called the service manager to verify the tsb and came back ok so she told me not to worry about it leave the car and they would definitley fix the rattle, even though I wasted a trip there I am glad I spoke to someone who know about customer service and at least I didn't have to drive my car there and back cause it's not exactly around the corner.

I think I have the same rattle as well. I think it is coming from the passenger side vent, next to the door. It could be coming from the base of the windshield per the TSB. I will have to check my VIN when I get back to the car.

I think I have the same rattle in my dash too. It sound like a screw fell into the air duct or something and bounces around when I hit a slight bump. Is this it?
Also, has anyone had any trouble with the power outlet in the center console not working? Had my phone charger plugged into it for months and everything was fine -- then last week it stopped working all of a sudden. Checked the manual (thinking it might be a blown fuse) but the fuse is shared with the cigarette lighter and its working fine (also checked my charger, and its still working). Anyone know what it could be?

In regards to the power outlet. Are you sure its pushed in all the way? If not, then it must be a faulty charger.

UPDATE: After having a very helpful person last night, the service manager called this morning and tells me that They WON'T fix the rattle until they hear it after the manager told me last night they would. This is so childish of them I have no choice but to call lexus and file a complaint. Unless they want to go to work with me and hear a rattle I think they should fix it, cause obviously it is a known problem.

I've got rattles in the door panels, center console, front dash/nav, etc. The dealer has had the car for at least 3-4 weeks on separate occasions. They can't seem to fix the problem(s). Very disappointing to say the least. This should not be happening to a Lexus car. That's why I didn't buy a Ford ... my mistake I guess after all! Lexus quality is not what everyone says it is.

Ok, finally. After going back to the dealer for the 4th time I took a drive with the service manager and we could't really find any bumpy roads in the area. He may be heard the rattle once but nothing like I do in the right conditions, so I told them he can either drive to work with me or I think he should still fix it cause of the TSB, I think he was getting frustated and finally agreed to do the work. To makea long story short I fianlly pickep up my car today after two weeks and it is falwless and quiet as ever, now I am so relieved!

Glad to hear that 9520G... it sucks when you have to beat the service tech over the head to get them to fix something. Especially when there is a TSB out for it!
