Default Major nav issues.

So with increasing frequency I am not getting GPS signal on my nav. It has gotten worse over time so that now probably 75% of the time I have no GPS signal. With recent construction by my place that means I have to manually calibrate every single day (ok I don't HAVE to since I don't need to use the nav everyday, but I do anyway because it bugs me).

Going into the service screen I see Sat signals popping on and off extremely quickly or none connecting at all, or all of them listed but with no Lat/Long/Alt and no signal showing...

Called up the service department and they said it's a known problem and there is a new nav disc coming to fix it but no fix currently. Could it be a bad wiring job on my nav hack? I've had it hacked since the first day I got the car. I check diagnostics and it came up with the code 58-13 in the nav section (that code isn't even listed in the DTC check code list in the repair manuals).

Any info would be appreciated if anyone has any, or confirmation that other people are having the same problem would be nice so I know it's not just me!

Thanks,

Not on the hack, but a bad connection between the satellite signal receiver and the Nav unit. You may have disturbed the connection when you did the hack or the connector didn't get quite pushed in all the way.

I guess that's possible. I'll dive back in. I just hate doing that since last time it messed up my vents since just the front came out and not the whole unit and I doubt I'll get a 2nd one replaced under warranty.
