Default tirerack TPMS question

I'm getting some Blizzak's (LM-25) and wheels (ASA JH3) along with the TPMS (Pacific 315Mhz + the Fit Kit) through TireRack. I was wondering if any of you have purchased their tire/wheel/tpms packages and if so have you had any issues with thier TPMS setup. Did you have Lexus put the wheels on and register the new TPMS, or did you go through another shop? Any additional recommendations or helpful info would be much appreciated.

I purchased a second set of Lexus OEM rims, Lexus sensors and pirelli 240 winter sports. Lexus is mounting them all in November.

Apparently, you can only use the Lexus TPSMs to pair with the cars computer.

Unfortunately 92Green, your sensor WILL go off pretty soon once you drive for about 20 something miles, you'll see it go off unless you go to Lexus and have them program them (if they're new sensors). If you're using the same TPMS sensors from your OEM wheels, then you don't need to program them at all.

I guess I should have been more specific - must we use the LEXUS tpms or do the ones that tirerack offer work with the 2IS?

I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I'm planning on doing the same thing when I get a 350.

I purchased wheels and tires from Tire Rack. The sensors that they mounted were compatable. I took it in to the Lexus dealership and they had everything set in about 15 minutes. One word of caution, the codes for the TPSM are on a sticker which is placed on the tire. Make sure that you look out for them. Good luck with your new set up.

I have all the parts separate right now. The rims, the TPSMs (purchased from Sewell Lexus, and the tires.

Have an appointment with my Lexus dealer in November to assemble and put on the car.....$469!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IthicaPete....did they swap the TPSMs from your summer tires? If they did, you'll constantly have to keep switching them back and forth, taking off the tires from the rims.

My objective is to now have separate winters (with their own TPSMs) and separate summers.

Now for the next few years, all I have to do is swap in the spring and fall.
