I'd be interested in doing this myself... But I don't think there are any aftermarket 7.5" free-air subs... Anyone know for sure???

The sound is a very clean tight bass. This is a custom box made by UTTAM'S here in Guam. It is a 100% improvement in the quality of the sounds.

How much was the custom enclosure? What's the cubic feet of the enclosure? Did you disconnect the stock sub?

The cost of the (2) boxes was $200.00 taking over 3days to make. I wanted the boxes to be flush with the fender area to maximize the space in the trunk so I don't have the exact space of the enclosure of the boxes. He had to cut weird angles to fit. The amp is hooked up to the battery with the signal integrated into the stock amp which is under the right side sub. The subs are so loud that it makes the gas cover rattle.

No, the stock sub is still installed. The stock is so weak compared to the JLs but the sound with JLs integrate nicely. I do have ML, however, the NAV is not available here in Guam so I can't play DVD-A.

i was first thinking about doing that exact same setup where you have the two subs on the sides, but i figured that you wouldnt be a able to fit golf bags in there so i had to scratch it. :/ atleast by putting it up against the seats, ill be able to fit in one. maybe 2 max.
