OEM CD Changer
Is the OEM CD changer double din? I remember seeing someone replacing it with two alpine units. i forget who that was.
I'm looking to switch it out to put in an Alpine W200.

Thanks!

That was me that used to have an Alpine F#1 7990 and H900 display in the dash. The factory head was moved to the glovebox.
I never did like the looks of the deck and display in the 2IS dash, even though they are incredible peices. I never did complete the trim panel around them.
I now have the factory head back in the dash and use an Alpine VPA-B222 Vehicle Hub Pro as a master audio/video system controller and a Alpine LCD monitor mounted on a cell phone mount next to the center instrument panel. The factory head plays through the Hub's factory system input.
I actually don't know if the W200 will fit in the location.

Oh right that was you! Do you mind me asking why you initially routed the factory head into the glove instead of just using your 7990 solely?
I was going to keep everything stock on the dash and route everything through an H701 (I wanted to retain most of the stock system as I bought Nav). But I didn't know if I needed to buy a JL Cleansweep as well (probably functions the same as your b222 if i'm reading what Alpine says correctly). Then I just thought screw it I'll just see if a w200 fits.

I moved the factory head to the glovebox because if it is removed the A/C stops working. In non-NAV 2ISs the display for the radio and the A/C is on the same circuit board. Remove the head and the display board will shut down.
I am using an Alpine F#1 H900, DHA-680 DVD changer, and maybe a CHA-S624 CD changer with my Hub. I have worked with a W200 and H701 and liked both peices very much. You need to get the PAC TR-7 module to bypass the W200's video and processor safeguards.
If you turn the ASL (Automatic Sound Levelizer) off the factory deck has only a slightly mild eq curve. I personally don't think it needs a cleansweep. It does have a subsonic filter at 30 Hz, but I just boost 20 and 25 Hz on my H900 to compensate for it.
