Default engine bay covers

so i'm going into a little painting frenzy... i got the grille redone, and the intake and engine cover color-matched as well. to the few people i've shown (shop owners, etc.) they've suggested that i should paint the rest of the engine bay covers as well, maybe in a glossy black. now that i look at it, it doesn't sound like a bad idea. what do the rest of you think? and if i do get it done, should i get it done professionally or just DIY w/spray paint?

if you want it to look nice get it professionally done... unless you have an oven to cure the paint.. check to see the max temp on the plastic cover also....

I second that. I've seen some people's work at the meets. Unfortunately the DIY's didn't come out as well.
