Default Spoiler?

I'd like to get thoughts on whether or not to get a spoiler. My '07 IS250 AWD Black/Black is coming in next week and I can't decide on whether or not to add the spoiler. Thoughts?

I'm getting one. My opinion - the back looks naked without it.

I guess I'm in the minority. A spoiler is for high speed stability. High speed and IS250awd are not one in the same (at least for now). I think the IS250 awd looks unusual with a spoiler. The awd should have a clean rear IMHO. If you have awd, snow is most likely in your future. A spoiler simply makes it more difficult to brush off the snow and creates a spot for ice/snow build-up.

Now, an IS250 rwd or IS350 look unusual without the spoiler IMHO. Primarily because they are found where snow does not happen much. Although neither vehicle would benefit from the aerodynamic benefits 99% of the time it does balance out their look.

All of this to say, even if you do get the spoiler it is low profile and looks good on the 2IS body. If aesthetics are your priority then go for it. It definitely adds to the aggressive look of the design.

I seriously doubt that the optional rear spoiler is functional on the 2IS. If it is, there's a good chance that 99% of the time, you won't be going fast enough to even make a difference. Down here in Florida, we get rain pretty much every day in the summer. I did notice that water seems to pool on the top of the trunk lid, but this is mainly due to the contour of it and not due to the spoiler.

No spoiler. It's does what the name implies... spoils the looks the clean trunkline.

Spoiler++

I think the rear looks considerably less aggressive without it.

another vote for the spoiler functional or not, still looks good and makes the rear end look better.

Get the spoiler if you are getting the body kit.

Otherwise, might as well wait to get a spoiler when its time to get an aftermarket body kit.

Just happened to be in a mall and parked next to two other ISX50s. Neither had a spoiler while mind does. Can tell you the spoiler makes the rear look a lot different. Now ask yourself which look you prefer.

Since you're getting a 07, doesn't that have the shark fin attachment, so you're not starting with the clean look anyways.

just get it, i originally didn't have one for a few months, then opten for it, it is a relatively cheap investment and it won't make or break ur vehicle, its a personal preference.

just remember, dont buy it fromt the dealership, u can buy it aftermarket for much cheaper.

i know this has been mentioned b4.. but hows the installation..??
i heard double sided tape.. but is dat reliable?? wat if it falls off.. or wat if it creates too much space between the trunk and the spoiler... if you do it the right way.. how hard is the installation...?? can u get it done somewhere else?? if so how much?
