Has anyone seen this article. Topspeed has a picture of a coupe that is very similar to an IS. It doesn't look fake or anything. But what do you guys think.
The convertible is actually hot. But I still don't see the point of the coupe over the current 4-door if the design stays that similar. The 4-door already looks like a coupe with the nicely raked rear section... it just happens to have two extra door. 4-doors + coupe looks = why the hell would I buy a coupe that looks the same and has two less doors?
Unfortunately, I doubt I'd go near the convertible either. Cars that aren't initially designed as drop tops tend to gain a LOT of weight to stiffen them up when the top is chopped.

+1 it's not like the car is exactly light weight to begin with.
They're going to change the IS exterior dramatically after two years?
Not the sedans, but I think Lexus will make the 2008 IS coupes look significantly different than the sedans. It's just not going to be the sedan body with two doors, such as the ones shown in the photochops. It will be radically different, such as the Camry and Solara in relation.
