I'm forced to park underneath a lot of pine trees at my work place and recently noticed a couple globs here and there. It has a rubbery texture, I can get some of it off with my finger nail but the bottom layer won't come off. I tried some sap remover from pep boys but it doesn't do squat, any recommendations?

I would invest in a good car cover ASAP!! Parking under a pine tree will kill your paint in a very short amount of time. Once the sun and engine heat bake it on there is not much you can do!

wow the rubbing alcohol dissolved it right off!!

I've considered the car cover on many occasions, perhaps I have to reconsider it.

And whatever wax you had on the car also. Make sure to touch up that area. WD40 works in a pinch as well or any mild car polish (Klasse All In One comes to mind).

I use that and then put a good carnuba wax on top of it. Lasts a good three months.

Man... rubbing alcohol took my three sap spots right off.... i was almost going to take it in to a detailer to have them detail and remove the spots. Would have been a waste of money...

thanks for the tip!!!

lol I was just about to do the same thing. The alcohol even got rid of 2 year old sap on my G35.

Good advice. Definitely re-wax/polish those areas where you used the alcohol.
