Smile Just turned 8000....

My SGM IS350 just turned 8000 tonight. My IS was built 9/05 and purchased 10/05. I have the Lux package with nav. Levinson was not availiable at that time.
I must admit that this car has been problem free. No squeeks, knocks, or noises. The engine has been smooth and problem free. The paint has held up well despite complaints of soft paint from some CL members. The Dunlop tires are holding up extreemly well. I would estimate 25000 miles would be the limit. What a smooth ride and very quiet on the highways.

All in all, no complaints, no regrets, and a very satisfied Lexus customer

Nice... I'm about to hit 14k on my IS350, also holding up very well. The Dunlop's are still looking good too. I do have one small paint chip though

8600 miles by the end of the day...purchased 02/06.

A few paint chips on hood...clear bra would have been nice, but forget it now.

I had one of the rear Dunlops plugged from a nail incident (hater or accident?) but they are at about 70% tread life left. I wore them out first 5K miles. I suspect 20K miles at the most for my nerves. A few rattles on the interior that i cannot find, but it probably from my two 10'' subs.

Overall, it still gives me goose bumps when I walk up to it after work.

Have you ever tried to put a nail into a tire with your bare hands? Or even with a hammer? Short of using a nail gun, it ain't gonna happen. You ran it over.

I have never tried any of those things, for obvious reasons.
Of course I ran over it, but was it placed wedged between my tire and pavement?...this is what hater potential I was reffering to.

But, indeed running over it while on the road is the most likely cause.

Haters, stalking girls, etc. are rampant when you have a hot IS350...I see them regularly. Damn them haters!

I love to drive my 350 so much, it already has 5000 miles and it's only 2.5 months old

My 250 is my daily driver, so I will probably be racking up about 15K miles a year. I am looking forward to it though! Thanks for sharing your positive experiences.

What a coincedence, I have a ES330, built on 09/05, purchased 10/05 and just turned 8k today. Same as you, no problem with the car. The first car without rattles after 8k miles and i currently own 12 high end cars and all 11 had some sort of rattling problem or engine problems
