Default XM Title Display Issue

I was playing with a roady-xt today and I noticed that it displays the full title info (i.e. artist/songname) where as my ML Nav w/ oem XM cuts off both the artist and title after 6 letters or so. Does anyone else have this issue or did I get a bad install? Or am I doing something wrong? I just press 'text' when the song is playing.

It's nowhere near as short as 6 characters (more like 16) but yes, some titles/names get cut short.

Artist and song titles on the CD / MP3 player are also abbreviated to 16 characters. Given that the high resolution screen on the 2IS is capable of displaying significantly more, without even resorting to scrolling, it makes me wonder whether code/interface specs from an earlier generation nav, one with a smaller less detailed screen was used.

It's 10 characters, and looks amateurish. The "TEXT" button to swith between title and preset display is also a hassle. I really don't care for the XM interface. It feels rushed, and I hope Lexus takes the time to make it better.

It's not XM's interface, it's Toyota's...notice how it's identical to AM/FM presets?

PS - not to split hairs, but your counting needs some work.
