Since the IS and the GS are platform 'mates', I would assume the eletrics and such would be the same. Anyone have access to a GS and an IS service manual who can verify this? I just drove a GS yesterday and even the buttons for the nav/audio are in the same place.

Those interested in the wood wheel. Try before you buy. I've been in a loaner E350 for the last two days while the dealer tries to fix the mysterious gremlins that have crippled some of the radio functions in my IS, mostly relating to the satellite radio.

Anyway, I agree the wood wheel looks great, but it doesn't feel so great. The leather is more comfortable for me. Also, if the car has been sitting out in the sun, the wood wheel gets uncomfortably hot.

Given a choice of a wood wheel or the current steering wheel, I would stay with the leather, even if the wood wheel were offered to me at no cost.

While I'm at it, I'll offer my two cents on the driving experience of the ES. While I like the look of the ES, after driving it I'm so glad that I have the IS. Aside from the extra room in the ES, and perhaps some added soundproofing, compared to the IS, the front wheel drive ES has a totally different feel. It does not feel sporty and begs to be driven well below the speeds that the the IS thrives on. JMO, but the ES is a bore to drive.

Please PM me if you find out how to get those.. cause the only I was always complaining while driving this car was the steering.. I am so used to the ES330 wood steering wheel and it has been so comfortable and nice .. The IS leather somewhat seems to be thicker and it can get uncomfortable real quick.

But the plus point- It makes me feel I am in a sports car thus driving it like one .. ..
