What is the purpose of purchasing that and putting it on there? (I'm not worried about scratches, but if it eliminates the fingerprints I'd order one.)

lol, I use my Oakley sunglasses bag to clean the screen too if I don't want to open a packet of eyeglasses cleaner wipes each time.

 

Is it removable without any glue left on screen?
