my understanding is that the blue/purple band of European makes is due to the projector lens/housing, and not the color/temp of the bulb. I see the same blueness on Nissans.

Yes, you are right about the lens.Certain lens swap will make the beam and color more intense and you can achieve color by modifiying the shield. I intended to this mod but come to find out that if i just slightly mis aligned the buld it gives me the flicker i wanted.

This still can be done to our cars just need to modify the shield and maybe swap a lens with 300zx or TSX but it will be to much work

Yes. If you pull out all of the plastic panels in the engine bay, you'll see a little 'toothed' gear right behind the projector lens in the engine bay. Right behind that, you can take an 8mm socket and turn the little screw to adjust the height. Can't remember if it's clockwise or not but turn your lights on against a wall and you can see it go up or down as you adjust.

yah even the nissans have a nice cutoff flicker. i think the best looking ones are s2000 and TL lenses/bulb combo.

its easier to catch the flicker when your far away but i didnt feell like driving so just
backed up my car.
