Question Another Bluetooth Question

I’m trying to set up voicetags so I can just say a command while driving and have the phone dial numbers for the names I put in my phone book. My phone book is listed under “No Group.”On page 132 the Nav system manual says to start by touching “voice Rec” under the Edit Contact Data screen. But my screen doesn’t show a “Voice Rec” button so I’m stopped right there. What am I doing wrong?

It's on the second page. After you hit "edit", press the down arrow key.

Thanks, that worked. Now all I've got to do is have it recognize my voice. (I recorded the command "home" to call my house and it responded by going to map "mode.")

Before saying the recorded tag, did you remember to give the command "call by name"?

No, but I’ll try that.

However, the nav manual, on page 114, indicates you first say the name, then the command “dial.”

Just in case that doesnt work...try saying "dial by name". I know its a minor detail but I say this from experience. I was trying over and over and couldn't figure out why the hell it would'nt work when I said "call". So I broke out the manual and the command was "dial" instead of "call" and it worked. One would think Lexus would make it work with either...but only the "dial" command worked with mine.

I just say "dial by name", and when she prompts you for the name you want to dial, push the voice recognition button on the steering wheel and say it. Works for me.

man... i set up the voicetags.... its a POS. I hate it... it never recognized the names I say...I guess a lot of the names I put in sound the same. So now I just either use the speed dial or find the number on my phone.

I just tried it with the "dial by name" command first and it works! Thanks all for your help.
