Alright i put a cd in and I thought the the ML system is supposed to display the name and title of the songs. mine doesn't is there a way that i can get it to do this....also does the mp3 folder work only with an Ipod cause i have an Iriver ...gift let me know, thanks

 

The only commercial CDs where you'll get song titles and artist are those that support "CD Text"; only a fraction of titles do. You'll also get them on MP3 disks you burn yourself.

Not sure what you are asking, re: iPod. The audio system does not have support for any external MP3 player beyond a simply auxiliary audio input. The only way to get integration (song titles and control) is with an external box like the VAIStech. (And yes, those are iPod only)

if you burn a data cd... the names of the songs will show to whatever you titled it to be

 

More specifically, it will be reading the id3 tags that are embedded in the .mp3 files.

If you're finding that no information is displaying on the screen, or if the information is incorrect, you can update the tags yourself and burn a new disc. There's plenty of software out there to do it, like Tag & Rename, for example.
