Does anyone know how to turn off the voice prompt after you hit the speech recognition button?

Instead of waiting arround for the voice to say "please state your command after the tone, yada yada" I'd much prefer to just have it quickly play the tone.

 

yea.... its in the menu button section. once you get to the screen where you can change settings such as keyboard style and mile/km.... push the little question mark on the top right. its one of the things you can change... it will tell you exactly which one. but i changed it, and now it just beeps when you push the speech button. i love it. no more waiting around.

Oops...I had no idea it was that easy. I couldn't connect that this feature was what the button was linked to...

anyway, i love it...no more annoying voice!

 

Thanks very much - just did this on my 250 AWD, so much faster and soooo much less anoying.

 

yea... i find it the least annoying now when I have to enter an address using voice. it seems a little faster now.

 

yeah my salesman changed that for me right a way,, he said that it was way to annoying, hehe

 

How do you enter an address using voice....i can't figure it out...where can I get a list of commands???

 

just say ADDRESS and it will show and tell you what to say.
