Great info indeed.

So when in D mode the AI-Shift can change the speed of gear shifts. Interesting. But when we are in S mode does this mean the preset gearchange are the same as the “smooth” or “quicker and crisper” D mode? Since there is no AI-Shift in S mode.

I have tried to see a difference this morning but couldn’t so far. I like to leave in 6 gear S mode to permit me to downshift faster to save on the brake dust. But if it means I could have smoother automatic gear changes in D I might reconsider.

I also use the S mode to allows engine brake too, I find the IS gear box is too smooth...
