IS250 options
I am in the market for an IS250 but cannot find one with either the luxury or sport package. All the so cal dealers I have talked to said that these packages along with the ML audio are no longer installed on the 250 model. Can anybody confirm this?
The only toy I really want out of the packages are the adaptive HID lights. However, I cant justify spending the extra 10K to buy an IS350 with one of these packages just to get the lights.
If they arent available, does anybody know if Lexus will perform the lighting upgrade to the adaptive package available on the 350 models?
Thanks

The IS250 with Luxury package or sport package is only available on the East Coast Dealers (Virginia has them). For some reason the California Lexus dealers decided not to offer that option they only make it availble on the IS350. You may want to contac them.

i was told by all the so cal dealers that 250 doesnt have HID available.. only premium package or nav package .. and 18s are standard on all
i put in zip code for virginia.. boston.. etc.. they all do not have the lux package option.. hmm
On Lexus Build Your IS, Using zip 01420 and picking IS250 Manual, you get Luxury package. Not sure why it's not availabe on the IS250 Auto.
Hate how it's setup with different packages in different regions... here in the southeast you can't get a sport package IS350 (without special order), so I'm buying mine from CO.

maybe keep checking in with different dealers and hopefully you'll get lucky and land an is250 in the configuration you want. sometimes people place a special order and end up not getting it in the end.
here in hawaii the 250 is offered with all packages and sport and lux on 250' and 350
s the only thing not available here is nav. wanted to get it to modify the screen. but they said it is not an option here. i got a is250 with sport package

You mentioned that you are getting yours from CO. Is it possible to buy the vehicle in another state and have them ship the car to you? Or are you making a road trip to CO to pick up the car?
Also, can we expect there to be OEM HID lighting systems released in the future for the car so I can do the upgrade then? I am not a big fan killing my warranty by drilling a 1" hole in the light box to upgrade with the current systems.
Yes, you could do both. I'm getting it shipped to me so I don't put all those miles on the car. For me, shipping was $1K but that is still $3K cheaper than prices I was getting here. There are others on this forum that ordered their car and then flew in, signed the paperwork and drove their car home.
For the Taxes, it depends on different states and the dealer you are ordering from. Sometimes the dealer will only charge you for the car, and then you pay for Taxes on your own when you get the car.
Bad thing about ordering out of state, is you never see the car... so make sure you are ordering from somebody that you can trust and make sure that you get in writing the car and options you are getting. Because if you say you want a IS250 w/ Luxury and they tell you on the phone they have it, there's really nothing stopping them from shipping you a IS250 w/ Premium and then saying like 'you said premium' or you said 'desert sage'.... or if you fly in, the same thing.
