Default LMS confirmations?

ok so im really looking into the LMS exhaust system...still, i want to know if anyone has actually tested the sytstem to see if its smog legal in cali or not...ive heard rumors but havent gotten any facts so far. also, has anyone tested the exhaust for dB amounts? is it under 93? and lastly im considering getting the fabulous body kit..so im wondering if fitment could be a problem...since im planning on getting the kit AFTER the exhaust..

again this is wat i need answered

1. is the LMS smog legal in CALIFORNIA...has anyone tested it?

2. how many dB is it

3. would the fabulous lip kit fit with it if placed on aferwards

1) It is not Cali legal as it takes away the catalytic converter. However, new cars do not need to be smog checked for 4 years. Some people may put those on for a few years, them replace the stock system in time for smog checks. It's illegal, but we know that some people will do it.

As for the other questions, I'll let other people answer those.

Regardless of any state law, there is a federal law that makes it illegal to remove/modify the cats in any way. You can't touch any of them unless they get damaged or become defective. If they do, you have to replace them with the same factory cats. There are no exceptions.

Not smog legal in CA. Can't just test it "for fun" either since the results are transmitted directly to the DMV.

2. how many dB is it.
LMS claims it is 92dB. The resonators from the prototype were switched because the exhaust was too loud.

3. would the fabulous lip kit fit with it if placed on aferwards.
Should fit. I have the OEM Ground effects kit and it fits fine.

Not sure if you saw the DIY thread on this, but here it is anyway
