I have ML and I haven't had that problem....or maybe I have and just don't know it since my radio stopped on me once (but I wouldn't exactly blame that on ML). Do you have a link to your thread so I can what people are saying?
P.S. My 350 engine shut off on my ONCE so you might reconsider the 350 and go with the 250...LOL j/k
I enjoy listening to DVD Audio discs so I opted for ML. And I wasn't quite sure if there would be any aftermarket units that would fit properly especially if you have Nav. I am very happy with my decision.

Dumb question... but I was under the impression that Nav and ML were 2 seperate options, i.e., you can get nav but don't have to get ML... but need nav to have ML...
But this thread makes it sound like that if you get nav the ML automatically comes with it?

nah, you can get either or, you don't need one to have another.
I have always regretted not getting the Nakamichi system on my 99 RX 300. In the grand scheme of thinsg it wasn;t that expensive and I always felt like I wanted more out of my system.
There is a thread here with a very detailed review of the ML and stock systems I think. That should help you. I am personally very happy that I got the ML. Unless you are a lifetimesubsriber to the "Auidophiles-R-us" magazine, or you feel that trunk space is only designed hold a subwoofer in it, you will love the sound quality of the ML and will notice a significant difference between stock and ML systems. Is that difference plus the DVD capability worth to you? Only you can tell.
Also, there is a member here who sold his non-ML car and took a bath just to be able to get the ML on the new one. You can find his threads from the search too. That says something.
Also, if you go with ML vs. a monsterous aftermarket set up, you will still have your hearing when those guys are deaf in 20 years.

if you option it out on lexus website you cant. but if you special order your vehicle you can. Here in Hawaii we dont have the Nav option so only choice we have is w/o NAV which really sucks!
