Default Slight Gas Pedal Vibration

Hi Kids,

I've had my IS 350 for a couple weeks now and I have noticed a slight gas pedal vibration when accelerating. Now I realize this isnt the ES350 and a certain amount of roadfeel is expected, but it still surprises me a bit. Please note that my steering wheel is very smooth and has no vibration at all after the dealer balanced my tires last weekend.

Just wondering if anyone else feels the vibration or if I have to stop by the dealer again...

Thanks folks,

Martin

I've noticed it too, maybe it's a CA road thing?

Thanks for the reply Bebot - good point about the roads, didnt think of that one. I wonder if the low profile 18" tires have something to do with it?

Not sure which ones you have, but I have Dunflops and I have never had a good experience with that brand. Traded out the OEM ones to Michelins on my 4Runner the first chance I had.

Hmm, anyone else have vibration in their gas pedal? Could it be that the pedal is connected to the firewall and any driveline vibrations will transmit directly to the chassis? Just a noob guess...

Everyone be safe

Right now, I'm at 6100 miles and running the stock Turanzas. I actually never noticed this until you mentioned it. To me, while wearing shoes I could feel some but it was so slight. But bear foot, I felt a bit more. I'm just guessing that it's because of the low profile tires and that you feel more of the road. The tire doesn't have a lot sidewall to flex on.

Since our cars are drive by wire the gas pedal is only connected to a electrical plug. Does it feel loose? Maybe one of the nuts is loose.

That is a great way of thinking Vik, all the 1gen's were drive by wire as well.
